Stolen Elections
My take, primarily, on the whole "stolen election" thing, is that with technology being what it is today, if we had similar quick analysis tools in prior decades or centuries, I believe we would have certainly found that our fragile Republic/Democracy was at greater stake back then. Don't you think rural farm folk maybe just took barrels full of ballets and torched em? Now we have diebold. I think I'd rather have diebold. That's just my opinion.
Personally, rather than talk about Florida in 2000 or Ohio in 2004, I'd like to see the big parties now put up someone we could vote for enthusiastically. Or see public outrage against the two party system. Or public outrage against the idiotic punditry masquerading as media coverage. Or public outrage that asks for real coverage of real issues, rather than goofball coverage of stuff that happened thirty years ago, or that asks questions such as "who is more likeable." The media for the most part merely parrot scripts fed to them by the campaigns. It's a joke.
When I think about our Democracy at stake, I think about all this stuff first. When I think about stolen elections, I think of the mainstream media first. The media have turned our elections into garbage. It's a sham.
