Pro-war Christians

Yesterday during a family holiday dinner, my ultra right-wing, Conservative, supposedly Christian brother-in-law made a joke about Zarqawi being beaten to death. During dinner.

The little episode got me to thinking: how is it possible to be a pro-war Christian? If anyone knows the answer to this question, please let me know.
