Pop Rock Faves

Many of my favorite Pop/Rock cds released in the past ten years have featured great performances by great drummers. I could just listen to the drums. In fact, I often do.

1. Peter Gabriel "Up"

Manu Katche, Dave Power, Ged Lynch, Steve Gadd, Dominic Greensmith. It's a modern masterpiece.

2. Steely Dan "Everything Must Go"

Keith Carlock is so crisp and tasty. You haven't lived until you heard this record.

3. Rush "Vapor Trails"

Neil Peart. I rest my case.

4. Elvis Costello & Burt Bacharach "Painted From Memory"

Jim Keltner. The giant. The legend. There are vocals on there? I can't stop listening to Jim.
